The Haro Ventures website was a re-branding of a previous Simply Rooted project, following a name change by the client. This was nearly a 180 degree change in theme for the angel fund, as their previous site was dominated by bright orange colouring – resulting in us needing to start from square one in finding inspirations.
The Haro Ventures logo spurs on feelings of sailing, being on the water and exploration. The website we designed followed suit in taking the viewer to different locations and scenery in the Pacific North West. We overlaid each carefully selected image with a transparent blue hue, and used parallax images to separate the pages, making viewers feel they are really on a voyage.
Wherever possible we emphasized the parallels between an entrepreneur’s and seafarer’s journeys, resulting in a clear, concise website, that still manages to tell it’s own story.
